Great White Shark Cage Diving South Africa

Great White Shark Cage Diving in South Africa

White Shark Diving In South Africa is a must! We have the privilege of access to Great White Sharks, that is, if you know when and where to go.

Now the general public, too, can enjoy first-hand experiences of the Great White Shark. Observing and diving with Great White Sharks under the correct conditions and guidance, is a wonderful experience. Even 'anti-shark' people return from an expedition or diving trip with a love, and certainly respect, for this creature. Working in the unique marine area off the Southern Cape coast, our skippers log more contact with Great White Sharks than anyone else worldwide.

Pickup and scenic transfer
You are collected from Cape Town or Hermanus and driven to ‘White Shark Lodge’, our home base in Kleinbaai.

  • Breakfast at our stunning Lodge
Our continental breakfast consists of yoghurt, cereals, toast and cold meats, tea and coffee.
  • Day on the ocean
The skipper of the day gives a short lecture on shark anatomy, behaviour and gives detail of how they work with the sharks in the area. We spend between 4 to 6 hours at sea, depending on the frequency of shark sightings.
  • Diving and viewing
The cage takes 2 to 3 people at a time. Each person spends approximately 20 minutes in the cage. All scuba equipment, including 7mm wetsuits, is provided and most importantly you don’t need a scuba licence to cage dive.
  • Lunch on board
Our lunch boxes are packed with bread rolls (available with a variety of fillings), sweets, crisps and assorted juices and soft drinks.
  • Afternoon tea
Upon our return to the harbour, you are invited to tea, coffee, biscuits or scones at our Lodge.
